Thachaporn Supparatanapinyo Thailand
International Body Workshop Lecturer Currently studying a master program of the art and cultural studies in Taiwan, I am a Thai freelance writer and translator focusing on LGBT community and social inequality issues. My work experiences included being a speaker and news reporter for events which were collaborations between Bangkok Art and Cultural Centre and embassies of Ukraine and Canada: “Ukraine in Focus” and “Neither, Nor: How to Circumnavigate the Gender Binary in Seven Thousand Easy Steps.” The script and news I wrote for both events aimed to raise an awareness towards social discrimination. After graduating from Arts Faculty, Chulalongkorn University; I worked as a legal assistant in an intellectual property department at Baker & McKenzie. My main task was researching and
creating PowerPoint presentations regarding Personal Data Protection Acts and other pitching projects. While studying in Taiwan,my work still focuses on LGBT community and social issues. I am currently working with GagaOOlala as a translator and marketer contacting LGBT influencers in Thailand to develop marketing campaigns for the company. In addition, I wrote an article analyzing social hierarchy in Thailand narrated in an award-winning book, Khaomong’s Birthday and got published by the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, the Ministry of Culture (Thailand).
