Reviews
"The Tjimur Dance Theatre is an indispensable artistic force for Taiwan or the world's art and cultural groups, and it is also a local aesthetic that cannot be ignored."
-Hu Zhehao/ Performing Arts Reviews
"In a dialogue of reflection and criticism on art, the re-architectural is different from the indigenous music and dance art in public impression. Instead, the psychedelic movements derived from performers, and the rendezvous of souls through multiple art forms, creating imaginations of audience about indigenous art aesthetics. Especially when the traditional Paiwan folk songs and fast-paced electronic music combined, the strange music style created more imaginations to story, and even reaches the realm of self-fantasy. ."

"The vigorous choreographer of the Tjimur Dance Theatre, Baru Madiljin, uses his long-term observation of the traditional dance steps of the tribal elders as the core foundation, and appropriately adds modern dance elements to make the whole work novel and refined. At the same time, it is also implicitly attached to the calm and down-to-earth physical meaning of traditional tribal dance. Finding coordination and even aesthetics in traditional and modern dance is a very difficult part of contemporary dance creation. More worthy to mention is that the choreography design shows a kind of active creativity native to the island."
